Why is Edulastic joining GoGuardian?

What is Pear Deck?

In November of 2020, GoGuardian acquired the student engagement tool, Pear Deck. Pear Deck was created by educators to help teachers engage students using proven instructional strategies rooted in active learning. Pear Deck is used by educators around the world to support in-person, remote, and hybrid learning practices.

As an Edulastic customer, how will this news benefit me?

In the near-term, you can expect the same great service you expect from Edulastic without any changes to pricing, features, or functionality. Longer term, partnering with GoGuardian will let us dream bigger and start working on innovative solutions to some of your biggest teaching challenges. We’ll be listening closely to your feedback and suggestions and will keep you informed every step of the way.

How does this impact our existing terms, pricing, parameters, structures, etc. we have in place?

All contracts or written agreements between Edulastic or GoGuardian and their customers or vendors will remain intact upon completion of the deal. Any negotiation of terms should be addressed through the normal renewal cycle.

We’re in the process of purchasing Edulastic for our teachers. Will this news change who we work with or pricing?

Our partnership with GoGuardian will not impact pricing. Our team will honor all current quotes. For more information, please contact your current Edulastic representative. 

Will Edulastic’s service quality or policies change? What if I use competitors to GoGuardian?

Everything about Edulastic’s service and availability, policies, and terms of service will remain consistent, whether you use GoGuardian or another solution. For the immediate future, your contacts and support channels will remain the same. You can reach out to us using the same dedicated channels and modes of support you typically use. Edulastic is growing quickly, so over time we may have new members joining the  team from the shared GoGuardian organization. We are committed to consistently delivering you the highest quality of support and service. 

Is there a timeline for integrating Edulastic with GoGuardian products or Pear Deck?

At this time, there are no plans to change the Edulastic product or to create new integrations with GoGuardian products. There is no immediate plan to create an integration with GoGuardian’s products. In the future, we may develop integrations to better support educators and students with effective digital instruction and assessments.

If we use both Edulastic and GoGuardian products, where do we go for customer support?

Today, you will continue to contact the GoGuardian Customer Success Team for GoGuardian product-related questions and the Edulastic Customer Success Team for Edulastic-related questions. It is our intent to maintain the highest level of customer support. We will keep you updated on any changes as we work to integrate our teams

What is GoGuardian’s approach to privacy? Will Edulastic’s use of customer or student data change?
